The President's Message

I wish to thank everyone for assisting in making the
122nd
Case IH Temora Show such a
wonderful success. Even though there were no horse events, crowd numbers were similar
to last year and a large volume of positive feedback was received by happy spectators and
exhibitors alike.
Many thanks go to our hard working show committee, especially Kelly Booth our Show
Secretary, our generous sponsors and valuable assistants who help out unselfishly
whenever asked. A special mention goes to the Vintage Tractor pull team led by “Crawf”
and “Heinjo” aka Graham Crawford and Geoff Heinjus. The Vintage Tractor pull was a
fantastic spectacle and without their input I am sure the day would not have been as
successful.
Special thanks also to Senior Sergeant Murray Gillet and his fine team of Police officers.
Their presence and vigilance encouraged the friendly and peaceful atmosphere later in the
evening and led to absolutely no damage being caused this year by drunken youths leaving
the grounds.
The Committee would also like to thank the Hon. Member for Riverina Kay Hull and
Temora Mayor Mr Peter Speirs. Their kind and respectful tribute to the Late Mr Cecil
Kalms was heartfelt and sincere. Cec’s passing will affect us all but his spirit lives on with
the Show.
Congratulations to new Temora Show Girl 2007 Miss Hayley Preston. All the Temora
Show Girl contestants were amazing and showed Temora certainly has very talented and
intelligent young ladies. Kay Hull and Peter Speirs commented on the fine deportment of
the girls and hoped they will continue to represent Temora in future Temora Show Girls
competitions.
On behalf of the Temora Show Society I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a safe,
happy and prosperous New Year. Our Show Society, upon the completion of this year
show, now begins the planning of the next years show. We gladly welcome any one
wishing to join our dynamic committee. Please contact us if you want to know any further
information.
Yours sincerely
